cat science
Today I am wearing a knitted cat hat. It has two grey ears with pink centers. A pure belligerent ball of plump gave it to me.

I like this hat, because it makes me look like the serious scientist that I am. But when I walked into my Russian class this morning, everyone turned around and started laughing. I don't know why they laughed! They shouldn't laugh at a serious scientist like me. I was offended.

maybe you would have been taken more seriously if you were in vet school? if you're so serious you should know that no serious scientists wear hats. the immense heat that emanates from their full heads makes it impossible to wear hats.

Hey! Where are you? I'm becoming a bean-eater... just like you!

My immense head is designed especially to dissipate heat. First, my cranium is large, so the surface area is bigger than that of normal humans. This increases the heat dissipation at the head/air interface. Second, my hair isn't really blonde. What you're seeing is heat converted into optical radiation. So essentially, although my head might look like an abnormally large and blonde human head, it is actually a cooling fan and a miniature sun. This explains a lot, doesn't it?

i'm still in chicago. what do you think, i'm some compulsive mover-arounder? i'm also considering updating my own journal, maybe even keeping it updated. i'll have to battle the depression, but maybe that's a battle i can win.

the optical radiation thing really makes sense. i thought i would always blush and go a little flush when i was around you, but i guess i was actually getting a ray-burn.

Irish Soda Bread for you!

4 c whole wheat flour
2 T sugar
1 t salt
1 t baking soda

Sift together, cut in 4 T of butter, make a well in the center, add:

1 egg, lightly beaten
2 c buttermilk

Mix together, form ball, shape, score, bake for about 40 mins at 425 degrees.

Yum!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, oh artful brain ninja!

(It was great to have you at Feast Bay last night. It was a slow art night, but the conversation and company sure were swell. I hope your trip here was a good one.)

Thanks for the recipe! That bread was so good... yum! It looks pretty easy to make too.

Trip was excellent. I hope you don't mind, I added you to my LJ friend list. You have very interesting posts (unlike me who posts just very silly things).
